THE BLESSINGS OF CREATIVITY...

I thank the LORD JESUS for each day that is given me to create wonderful projects...As always, I give Him all the glory.

Scripture Series: Give Thanks to the Lord Frame Card---It's Time for Another Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

A wonderful morning all you Crafty people out there!  We're in mid-week and feeling a lot of the pressure for all the things I needed to accomplish before the week is done.  There's a boat load of things to do and the Lord has truly been faithful.  I thank God everyday that my relationship with God has nothing to do with what I can and cannot do, with what I've accomplished and haven't accomplished.  It does not depend on my good day or bad day....It solely stands on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross and the hope and victory His resurrection brought to all of us who have placed our faith and trust in Him.  Since the Fall of Man (Adam and Eve),  God made several covenants with men and history showed, men failed horribly in keeping their words.   God in His infinite wisdom knew that there was no hope for men unless He paves the way to bring us back to Himself so, before the foundations of the earth were laid, JESUS is solely the answer.  The whole Bible speaks of that infinite love of God for men that He would gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, to save us from eternal damnation (the penalty set for the sin of High treason that men committed due to the rebellion of Adam and Eve) in which every men born into this world has been plunged into.  Through Jesus, a covenant has been made between the Father and His Son, who is both 100 % Man and 100% God, therefore, unlike the past covenants, this New Covenant made between God and Jesus in unbreakable.  There is no losing my salvation!  The Bible says in Philippians 1:6,  "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." He also said in Romans 8:1-2,  "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death." As I continue to carry my purpose into this world, though there may be many times I fail miserably, all I needed is to rise up, keep my eyes focus on Him and continue the journey to the fulfillment of His great commission and keep my faith in the finished work of Christ.  My God is awesome!

All that joy in the wonderful revelations of God in my life led me to bless the Lord with this creation.   I hope you will find some inspiration in this DT Project I made for Word Art Wednesday (WAW) Challenge.  You can get the free Word Art I used here by going to the WAW Blog.  If you create a project with it, please link your projects to the Challenge so, we can see them.  If you have any artworks that have uplifting message, you are more than welcome to join as well.  We're giving away fabulous prizes at the end of the week.  In this card, I used 2 wonderful images.  The fantastic background is from Di's Digi Downloads and the cute Tilda is from Magnolia.  I colored both using my ProMarker/Prismacolor/Sharpie Markers.  I used a little bit of DP in paper piecing Tilda's pants.  My objective is to make a card that looks like a picture frame and for added dimension, I emboss the panel with my Cuttlebug.  I added some inking on the clouds and horizon using Tim Holtz' Distress Ink (Broken China), and added some glitters (Diamond, Red and Lime Green) in different areas of the images.  I attached several gems and stitched all over and there you go, a project I am proud of.  So, what are you waiting for?  Start linking at WAW now.  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

Perfect Friend Card---Join us for a Color Challenge at Jackson's Digital Expressions!

Howdy, folks!  Well, last week was an event for me and things are piling up daily.  Our Church is hosting a Christmas Shoppe so, I am trying to get some projects made to sell.  I have so many things in mind but I don't know if I will have enough time...LOL  Anyway, I wake up each morning thanking the Lord Jesus for the strength and opportunities He gives my family.  We may not be rich monetarily but as God promised in His Word, He will provide all our needs.  I tell you, we survive any trials because we trust in God's Word knowing that in good and bad times, God has our back.  The Bible says in Romans 8:28,  "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."  Just want to share this to those who feels overwhelmed by the many issues of life---turn to Jesus---He has the answer for He is the answer.

Scripture Series: Bless the Lord At All Times---Get inspired by joining Us At Word Art Wednesday Challenge!

Blessings, everyone!  Another week has passed and we were so delighted at the inspiring entries we received each week at Word Art Wednesday (WAW).  It's nice to know that many Crafters are making projects that inspire others either by using the Scriptures (Word Art) we share each week or choosing an uplifting sentiment to encourage others.  I am truly delighted to be a part of a team of talented Crafters who happens to also love the Lord Jesus so, each week, I am inspired to give my best creation.  First for the glory my Savior Jesus Christ and secondly, to fulfill the great commission in Mark 16:15, "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."  Jesus is the best news we can ever share anybody. His death, burial and resurrection bring forth hope and victory to this dying world.   I believe that each one of us is assigned by  God a purpose and Crafting is just one of the many ways I can proclaim His message to anyone who wishes to listen.

So, here's an inspiration for you for this week's WAW Challenge.  I used one of the many wonderful digi images of Mo Manning and decided to color her vintage.  I used my ProMarker and Prismacolor Markers (shades of grey) to make this image come alive.  It's my first time to color this way but will certainly not be the last.  I used a Kraft base card to make a 5.5-inch square card.  The DP's are from Paper Studio Kraft Collection (love these papers).  I printed our free Word Art  and die cut it using Shapeabilities.  I adhered some white gems from Imaginisce, stitched all over and this project is complete.  You can upload the free Word Art by visiting the WAW Blog.  You can make a project using it or any uplifting sentiment and join our Challenge.  Fabulous prizes are given away every week.   I love hearing your comments so, please feel free to leave me one and if you find any inspiration here, I would love to have you as a follower.  My blog needs more lovin'....LOL  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    DP2 Challenge---Let's Chill with Mo Image
2.    Anything Goes---Stitching
3.    Flourishes---Things That Make You Happy (Praising the Lord-dancing and singing for Him)
4.    My Mum's Craft Shop---Inspiration from a Song (Inspired by Psalm 34 song)
5.    Crafting for all Seasons---Thank You
6.    Creative Moments---Anything Goes
7.    Inky Impressions---Make it Girly
8.    Divas by Design---Use 2 or More Patterned Papers

BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES CARD WITH ENVELOPE-BOX:

So, what about Psalm 34:1?  It says "I will bless the Lord at all times."  It is easy to give praise and thanks when things are going well our way.  But the verse didn't say, "give thanks" when things are great but it says, "at all times."  Therefore, it includes those very difficult times in our lives when all hope is gone, when we lay in a mess we created,  when every road seemed dark and endless---it's on those times that we need to lift up our hands in surrender to Him and let God be God.  The other half of the verse says "His praise shall continually be in my mouth."  Again, the word "continually" tells us that no matter what the circumstances are, we are to lift up and declare the wonderful works of God in our lives.  Oftentimes, the problem is that we are quick to look at the bad situations and forget the good ones.  If we only make a list--we will discover that the good outnumbers the bad...It is important for us to know where our blessings flow--It flows from the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross.  If the Father didn't withhold His Only Son from us, to suffer a shameful, painful, horrible death just to bring us back into His righteousness, He will certainly not withhold every great blessing in your life.  So, when we are stricken by all sorts of trials, try lifting up your hands to glory in the Lord and let your mouth bring forth a sweet aroma of praise.  Remind Him of the wonderful promises He told us in His Word and because we serve a God that knows no lies, He will act on His Word.  All glory to JESUS CHRIST!

Ice Cream Just For You Card---MayzyArt is Back with an Awesome Sale! I'm giving Away 2 Mayzy Digis--Read my Post!

Good Saturday morning, everyone!  Oh, I am so excited because after a few months of being away, MayzyArt is back and that means, I will be featuring cards with her images again beginning next year when the Challenges are back.  But for the meantime, the MayzyArt Etsy shop is currently having a sale. All items are 50% off until everything is sold out. We're over halfway there, so get 'em while they're hot!  Once they're gone...they're gone!

But wait, once a door is closed, a window opens so, here's some good news...The new  MayzyArt.com shop is up and running!  This time, you get instant downloads. New stamps have already been posted and more will come in the future.  All the stamps that we enjoyed at Etsy have all been uploaded there with some new digis.  You will notice a price increase but compared to other sites, it is still pretty inexpensive.

Are you ready for the best news?  Here we go---Mayzy has given me a couple of digis to give away.  In order to win, all I ask is that you become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment after this post (make sure to include your email so, I can give that info to Mayzy if you are the chosen winner so, you may claim your prize.  Just before midnight of Sunday (November 18), I will ask my 7-year old son to pick the comment he likes best and walah---I'll announce the winner here early Monday morning.  Mayzy will also announce all the winners in her blog that Monday morning as well. To increase your chances of winning, there's more info at the end of this post...

Here's a card I want to share with you today that I made with one of MayzyArt's Digis.  She is called Mallory and I colored her with my ProMarker/Prismacolor markers.  I used an A7  Kraft base card and layered it with DP's from K&Company.  The die-cuts were from MS Punch (border) and Nestabilities.  I put together the sentiment combining some quotes that I have and adding some words to make a rhyme.  I cut out the flowers from one DP and added some glitters (Stickles) on them and also to the ice cream.  For finishing touch, I attached some gems and stitched all over this card.  I'm pretty happy with the outcome.  So, what do you think?   This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Lady Anne's---Anything Goes

This is my first blog party and I am so excited.  Can't wait to see your comments.  Just want to thank the Lord for all the people that I come to meet each day through this Blog.  I know that there's a purpose for such a meeting   and my only prayer is that I show God's light in whatever I do and that His Name be proclaimed all over the world.  We are all special in Jesus' eyes...special enough for Him to die on the Cross to pay for all our sins (past, present and future--John 3:16).  His love is great and all we have to do is open the pages of the Bible and see what He has done for us, receive Him as our personal Lord and Savior and see the transformation begin.  This is what He did for me and my life is changed forever.  God bless you and have a fantastic day!

Scripture Series: Mourning Into Dancing Easel Card---Join Us for an Inspirational Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Greetings fellow Crafters all over the world.  Another week has passed and here we are bringing you another Challenge at Word Art Wednesday.  My busy days are getting even more busy and I am sometimes surprised that I come up with a card project before deadlines.  All I can say is that God is always faithful as there are days the creative juice is not flowing and in those times, I would browse for some inspiration on books and magazines and begin to create.  To my amazement, I always end up with a totally different card than the card I thought I would take inspiration from.  Yet, that's the way I like it.  I know that many of you plan the lay-out and materials for your projects ahead of time.  I tried to do that but just not my style.  I work in a moment basis...Whatever feels right at that very hour, I should say!  I believe that the Lord Jesus guides my every move so, at the end of each creation, I can honestly say, "Well done."

So, here's my featured card for this week at Word Art Wednesday.  My beautiful image is from Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Collection that I colored with my ProMarker, Prismacolor and Sharpie Markers.  Added some glitters too (Stickles-Diamond) for that much needed sparkle.  My DP's are from Recollection Papers and my CS are Kraft for my base card of 5.5-inch (square) and some brown-gray for matting and die-cuts.  I uses my biggest Nestabilities die for that lacey square and the MS Scallop Punch to mat the Snowflake image from Fiskars which I stamped using Color Box (Chestnut Roan) chalk ink.  I attached some pink satin ribbon and some gems for added dimension.  The main sentiment is the Word Art we are sharing with you this week and it's from Psalm 30:11-12.  You can get it for free by visiting the WAW Challenge Blog, make a project using it and link it to our Challenge,  However, if you have another project with uplifting message, you are more than welcome to join us too.  We have great prizes awaiting our winner at the end of the week and will be announced together with next week's Challenge.  Anyway, to finish up this card, I added more colors to the dots in the image's hat and scarf by using some Gelly Roll pens and I did stitching all over this card, inside and out.  I am very happy with the results of this project.  So, what do you think?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

The message of this card is very dear to my heart because it describes exactly how the Lord Jesus came to my life and changed the sorrows of my past to joy that surpasses all understanding---with hope on a bright future not only in this lifetime but through life eternal.  Because of what Jesus accomplished on the Cross---His death, burial and resurrection---He has freed me from the law of sin and death and brought me to newness of life through His Holy Spirit.  Because of this, I will not be silent...I will proclaim to the whole world the hope that is in Christ and offer to Him an everlasting song of praise.   No matter what happens in this age, my feet stands on the Rock of Revelation which is Christ, Himself, the only hope of glory...

Scripture Series: In Everything, Give Thanks Card---It's Another Inspirational Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!

Hello there, Crafty People!  I've been super busy the past couple of days making cards for a friend who asked me to make her 7 different cards in a week time.  Now, I struggled  because I don't really make 15 minute cards.  The elaborate ones usually takes me about 5 hours and the fastest I've ever made still took me about 2 hours.  So, I am exhausted but managed to squeeze this project with the others.  So, we have another Challenge at Word Art Wednesday and that means that you are free to download the new Word Art we have in the site and it's a great verse from 1 Thessalonians 5:18.  You can incorporate the Word Art in your project and enter it into our Challenge or submit a project that has an uplifting message.

Here's my DT card for your inspiration today.  I used a wonderful digital image from Mo Manning Collection (did I tell you how much I love her images?) and since she is holding a blank poster, I decided to place the scripture Word Art in the space and I am very pleased with the results.  I colored the image with my ProMarker/Prismacolor Markers and added some glitters (Stickles-Diamond) on her skirt and the poster.  I used a pink, Aqua Blue and Kraft CS for base and matting and the wonderful DP is from Paper Studio.  I cut some circles with my MS Circle Cutter and embossed the pink circle with a Paper Studio embossing folder.  The lush crochet flower (color---Parakeet) is handmade by me (I sell those in my Etsy--see sidebar) and I added some ribbon and pink brad for added dimension.  I attached several white gems from Imaginisce and stitched all over this card.  I seldom use pink in my projects but I am glad the pink worked well here.  So, what do you all think?  This Card is entered into the following Challenges:

1.    Bearly-Mine---Anything Goes

So, just saw the results of the election and I was very sad.  As a believer, my issue for choosing a President is not based on what benefit will I get, it's more on issues that are morally and spiritually inclined.  I need not elaborate but everyone who profess to have been saved by the blood of Jesus and know Him in a personal way and meditates on the scripture, will understand what  I am talking about so, right now, all I can do is pray...pray for our nation that spiritual eyes and ears will be opened for these are darkened times.  I asked God for enlightenment and He pointed me this verse we shared with you in my card.  It says to "Give thanks, in everything, for this is God's will in Christ Jesus concerning me."  I realized that my future does not depend on who runs this country.  Although I live here, my citizenship is in heaven and boy, there's  no shortage of supplies from where my Father rules.  His promises in His Word (Bible) are dependable and when He said to "Give Thanks," that only meant that He already planned my in and out and had equipped me with everything I needed to fulfill my purpose in this  place.  So, I take comfort in what the scriptures says in Psalm 23:4  "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."  ---Yeah...I can rest in that, Lord Jesus!  Yours be the glory!
